Our products toe the line of being functional pieces and works of art. As such, it is important care and maintain them as you would with any fine piece of furniture. With the exception of hard to reach outdoor items like chimney caps and awnings, regular cleaning and oiling are recommended. This will protect your product and also allow for a more natural oxidation to occur to your piece.

The best way to do this (for finishes excluding Natural Stainless Steel) is to use a microfiber cloth and some light soapy water and clean the product being careful to not leave moisture on it for too long. Once cleaned we recommend using food grade mineral oil and a clean microfiber cloth to re-oil the piece. This adds protection and is healthy for the metal finish. Our Fine Metal Finish Maintenance Kit has everything you need to keep your Brass/Bronze, Copper, Steel, Zinc, or patinated Stainless piece looking great through the years. Remember, ABSOLUTELY NO CHEMICALS should be used on these finishes besides Natural Stainless Steel. For cleaning Natural Stainless Steel, we recommend a general Stainless Steel cleaner and microfiber cloth. During cleaning and maintaining, it is necessary to do the whole piece and not just spot clean/oil. Cleaning it in it's entirity allows for any oxidation to occur more consistently.
