"Batten Straps" is a term we coined and they are a great unique feature to mimic batten or standing seams but given they are made from .25" thick material, they offer more stability and smoother curves than thin sheet metal seams. The quantity of Batten Straps is determined by the width of the awning and can be referenced on our specification sheet.
Outdoor products like awnings are made to wear in the elements and age over time. This is the case for our Copper, Brass, and Zinc finishes. Stainless and Powder Coated finishes should remain similar to their original finish for the life of the product.
